Rogers Early Elementary Students Participate in Cereal Drive Dominoes

Over the last few weeks, Rogers Early Elementary school has been collecting cereal for the 13th Annual Cereal Drive hosted by the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and the Gleaners Community Food Bank. In the past twelve years the Children’s Hospital of Michigan has raised more than 12 million servings of cereal. The goal of this event is to end child hunger over each summer in Southeast Michigan.

Every Kindergarten and 1st grade class at Rogers had a goal set for how many cereal boxes to collect. Together they have brought in over 1000 boxes which set up and knocked over like dominoes before being delivered to Gleaners Community Food Bank by Jackie Melton. You can visit the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Cereal Drive website at ChildrensDMC.org/CerealDrive to help feed the children of our community and learn more about the cause.
