CrossBridge Preschool-Allen Park
For the 2025-26 school year, MelNAP will be partnering with CrossBridge Preschool in Allen Park to provide a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) to our MelNAP community. GSRP is the State of Michigan, Tuition Free Pre-K program for 4-year-olds or children almost 4 years old.

Our program is an all-day preschool from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Students receive breakfast, lunch and a snack each day provided by the program. Call today to save a spot!!!!!

Hope Lutheran Church, 5323 Southfield Rd., Allen Park, MI 48101Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) which is developed under a grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Education is the State of Michigan’s Pre-k program for 4-year-olds. We use the internationally known HighScope curriculum. The HighScope Preschool Curriculum is based on the principles of active learning and support of a child’s positive interactions with adults and peers.
Kindergarten
Enrollment can only be accepted from a Parent/Legal Guardian of a student. To enroll your student:
Step 1
Once you have reviewed the age requirements and eligibility, please collect all of the required document for enrollment.
Step 2
Complete Pre-Enrollment - please be sure you read the instructions on each page throughout the process. Keep your login information - it will be needed to make any changes, and we are unable to reset it for you.
Step 3
The Enrollment Office will contact you on the status of the enrollment once your submission has been reviewed or if any additional forms or documents are required.

Health Information Note
We can accept the health documents for your child if they were 4 years of age when the exam took place. You do not have to wait until their 5-year appointment to submit health information if you have everything from the 4-year visit. A certificate of immunizations or waiver, vision screening test and hearing test must be received by the school district at the time of registration in order for enrollment to be completed. We cannot accept confirmation of an appointment.

- Responses to submitted pre-enroll information are not immediate. Your patience is appreciated. Our office staff will reach out via email to confirm the status of your child's enrollment as soon as they are able.
- All elementary, intermediate and middle school buildings are closed mid-June through the beginning of August.
- SOC applications must be approved prior to any enrollment information being reviewed for non-residents.
Grades 1-12
This enrollment page applies to students who are new to MelNAP Schools. This does not apply to currently enrolled students. All forms and documents must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian at the time of enrollment.

Complete Pre-Enrollment to begin the enrollment process for your student. Please read all steps carefully, detailed instructions are be provided for each page to assist you.
Please upload all of the documents into pre-enroll that you collected in step 1. Please load documents in PDF format, screenshots and photos will be rejected if they are of a low quality.
Keep your login information -- it will be needed to make any updates or changes and we do not have access to reset passwords. It is best if you complete pre-enrollment on a computer or laptop -- it is not recommended to complete it on a mobile phone.
Step 3
The Enrollment Office will contact you on the status of the enrollment once the submission has been reviewed. The office will contact you if any additional forms or documents are required.

MelNAP Virtual Academy
Melvindale-Northern Allen Park Public Schools is pleased to offer a fully virtual 6-12 option for our students. While most MelNAP students choose Face-to-Face instruction in our traditional school setting, MelNAP Virtual Academy (MVA) students have the opportunity to be fully online while engaging in both synchronous (live, real-time) and asynchronous (independent) activities. The MVA is fully staffed by MelNAP teachers.
The MelNAP Virtual Academy is accepting applications for the current year. You will be notified of your placement by the MelNAP Virtual Academy administrator if you are selected to attend. Please email virtual@melnapschools.com for more information.

Change of Address
Please use the forms on this web page to report your change of address. We appreciate your efforts in keeping our information current.
Please submit this form along with all necessary supporting documents to ensure the new information is updated in our system. New proof of residency documents will be required and should be submitted with the form.
If your new address is located outside of the MelNAP Schools boundary, and you are not already a School of Choice family, you will also need to include a School of Choice Change of Address form to go along with your Address Change information. If you are unsure, please check with your township/city office to find out the school district associated with your new residence. Please note that when you are moving out of the district changes of address may only be accepted during an open School of Choice window. Please check the School of Choice page for more information.
Additional forms that may be applicable to your address change: If you are in a shared household situation, you will also need, for your proof of residency, the Shared Household Affidavit form + support documents noted on the form.

Waiver Guidelines
- Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) is only able to provide nonmedical immunization waivers for religious and philosophical objections.
- MDHHS does not provide immunization waivers for medical reasons. Contact your child’s health care provider for a medical immunization waiver.
- The immunization waiver education is provided for children in childcare through high school.
Immunization waivers are required:
- Annually for childcare
- Before starting Kindergarten
- Before starting 7th grade
- Anytime the student changes school districts
Great Start Readiness Program
Please use the Pre-Enrollment link on the MelNAP website until June 30, 2026 to apply for 2026-2027 GSRP/Pre-K. Children's birthdays will need to be between 12/2/2021 and 12/1/2022
Please note:
- Simply registering your child for GSRP through pre-enrollment does not guarantee a spot in the program, multiple factors are taken into consideration before acceptance into the program. You will be contacted by the GSRP Director by mid August if your child is granted a spot, children who are not enrolled in GSRP will also be notified by mid-August.
- Our long term goal is to provide a GSRP space for all interested families, we are in the inception stage and will be phasing GSRP into our district.
