Advanced Placement Courses
Melvindale High School offers several opportunities for students to earn college credit through advanced placement programs. These courses prepare students to complete the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Exam at the culmination of the course. Students are able to send their AP Exam scores to the college of their choice to receive college credit in the specified content subject area.

College Credit Programs
In addition to offering Advanced Placement courses with the potential of earning college credit, Melvindale High School has partnered with local colleges and universities to allow our students the opportunity to earn college credit during high school.
IDraw Program
Melvindale High School has partnered with the University of Detroit Mercy to allow students to earn college credits in the Engineering and Robotics field. We offer six different semester long classes in which students are able to earn dual enrollment credits through the University of Detroit Mercy.
Melvindale Early College
Melvindale High School has partnered with Wayne County Community College to provide an unique opportunity for our students through the Melvindale Early College Program. Students are able to earn an Associate's Degree within five years of entering high school at no cost to the student.
Traditional Dual Enrollment
For classes we are not able to offer a full student section of at Melvindale High School, we facilitate dual enrollment through several local colleges.
